2026/06 - Accessibility as a Design Standard, not an Afterthought (Cari Watterton - Scopely)

This four-part training programme helps game and UX designers build the skills to create accessible player experiences from the start. Combining theory with hands-on exercises, it moves from understanding accessibility principles, through to identifying real barriers in games, designing effective solutions, and embedding accessibility into everyday design practice. By the end, participants will be equipped to design experiences that are better for all players and advocate for accessibility as a standard part of development. From June 8th to June 11th - 10:00am-12:00pm every day (CET Time) - Remote training I - Understanding - Introduction to Game Accessibility II - Diagnosing - Identifying Accessibility Barriers III - Designing - How to Design Games Everyone Can Play IV - Embedding - Accessibility as a Design Standard, not an Afterthought
