2026/05 - Building Secure AI Pipelines for Scalable Art Direction (Ignacio Amaya - Rovio)

A hands-on session on integrating generative AI into real-world production pipelines—moving beyond experimental tools toward secure, studio-ready systems. Learn how to build controlled, repeatable workflows, maintain visual consistency with techniques like LoRAs, and structure pipelines using node-based tools such as ComfyUI. Drawing on Ignacio Amaya’s experience leading AI initiatives at Rovio—bridging data science, engineering, and art production—this session focuses on making AI reliable, scalable, and aligned with creative direction in shipped projects. From May 26th to May 29th - 2:00pm-4:00pm every day (CET Time) - Remote training I - Studio-Integrated Tools II - Style Consistency & LoRAs III - Visual Scripting for Pipelines IV - Systemized Art Direction

Objectifs de la formation

  • Identify when to use public AI tools versus secure, studio-integrated systems, and apply basic compliance practices.
  • Understand key model types and how fine-tuning (e.g., LoRAs) improves consistency in production.
  • Design controlled, repeatable workflows to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Structure pipelines using node-based tools (e.g., ComfyUI) for clearer, scalable processes.
  • Guide and refine AI outputs to achieve consistent results aligned with art direction.
  • Build simple, scalable systems for asset generation while ensuring collaboration across art, tech, and production teams.

Profil des bénéficiaires

Pour qui
  • Art Directors
  • Technical Artists
  • Concept Artists
  • Game Artists (2D/3D)
  • UI/UX Artists
  • Animators
  • Tools Engineers
  • Graphics Programmers
Prérequis
  • Participants should have at least one year of professional experience in game development, ideally in art, animation, or technical art roles.
  • Attendees are expected to: Understand how assets move through a production pipeline. Have experience creating or handling game assets within a team environment. Be familiar with iteration, feedback, and production constraints.
  • Basic exposure to node-based or procedural tools is helpful, but not required.
  • No prior experience with AI tools is needed.

Contenu de la formation

Studio-Integrated Tools
  • Understand how to move from public AI tools to controlled, internal systems that fit into a production pipeline. Focus on stability, versioning, and predictable results.
Style Consistency & LoRAs
  • Learn how to use small, curated datasets to create style constraints that maintain visual consistency and reduce revision cycles.
Visual Scripting for Pipelines
  • Develop an understanding of node-based workflows (e.g., ComfyUI) to structure repeatable steps and improve efficiency in day-to-day production.
Systemized Art Direction
  • Learn how to design simple asset generation systems that support prototyping and scalable content creation while maintaining clear art direction.

Équipe pédagogique

Ignacio Amaya leads AI initiatives at Rovio, focusing on machine learning and generative AI across games, advertising, and user acquisition. With a background in data science and data engineering, he is dedicated to building AI solutions that drive tangible business impact. He has also collaborated closely with artists on projects that leverage AI to enhance and scale asset production workflows.
